I just found this old video, in which the DJ who made Thursdays at Turf a massive house party filled with everyone I liked in Havana, Wichy, plays a set on the corner of 23 and L in Vedado right at the start of his career. These days he plays bigger venues, and is one of the main DJs spinning good international pop in the city. There’s some pretty badass breakdancing around the 2:30 mark, right on a mid-day street corner. Love Havana.
