Because women clearly wore clothes like this in 1956 Cuba, it was necessary to set this mini-film there. Doesn’t stop me from coveting various items of clothing pictured (the real clothes, of course, ahem), but it does make me think about the indelible romance of Cuba so often used for marketing and only thinly, if at all, actually related to the country itself.
